We highly encourage and would love if everyone wore Indian clothing on Saturday and Sunday! We've provided some recommendations below on where to find clothes for the event. We highly recommend going in-person to find Indian clothing. If you are in North Carolina we recommend Sara Elegance in Cary North Carolina. If not, there are many online stores.​​ Indian clothing is complex and diverse. In addition, the materials do not stretch, as most are silk. ​​Have any questions along the way? A few things to keep in mind while shopping

• Most online stores ship from India, so allow up to 12 weeks for shipping and budget time for alterations.

• For sarees:

  • A pre-stitched saree is easier to wear (no draping needed); otherwise, people at the wedding can help drape for you.

  • Make sure to purchase a blouse and underskirt with your saree. It's typically an add-on if looking for sarees. If you are ordering online please purchase a slightly larger size to be adjusted when you arrive. 

  • Renting is usually as expensive as purchasing, and you don't even get to keep it!
